Day 01: Arrive to Paro Airport then Drive to Thimphu

Arrive at Paro International Airport, one of the most amazing airports as you descend you will be witness stunning Paro valley.

Welcome to Bhutan, The Land of Thunder Dragon. Our team will be waiting to welcome in the place of Happiness. After that you will be driving towards Thimphu, in the capital of Bhutan along aside the Pho chu river. It will take an hour to reach Thimphu mean while will you will stop at on the way.

 

  • National Museum(Ta- Dzong): is located on a hill above Paro Dzong in Paro Valley. Ta-Dzong mean “watch tower” built to protect Dzong from invasion but later in 1968 it was converted as Bhutan’s national Museum under the command of the Third Druk Gyalpo, King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. The Museum has a unique round, conch-sell like structure with thick stone walls and contains valuable collections of ancient artifacts, thangkas, paintings, textiles, stamps, coins. Today, Ta Dzong plays important role in preserving Bhutan’s rich Cultural and heritage and offers stunning Panoramic views of Paro Valley.
  • Discover Paro town: Nestled in the verdant valley, Paro is charming, historic that serves as your scenic gateway to Bhutan. Its main street is lined with beautifully painted wooden shopfronts featuring classic Bhutanese architecture, filled with local handicraft stores, cozy cafes, and eateries. Dominated by the majestic Rinpung Dzong or Fortress, the town seamlessly blends rich Buddhist heritage with a relaxed, small-town vibe. Surrounded by terraced rice fields and pine-covered mountains, Paro offers peaceful introduction to the kingdom’s culture, making it the perfect base before you hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery.

  • Paro Taktsang famously known as Tiger’s Nest, is one of the most iconic and scared monasteries in Bhutan. Perched dramatically on a cliff about 900 meters above the Paro valley. It is believed that Guru Rinpoche flew to this site on the back of the tigress and meditated in the cave. Surrounded by breathtaking mountains and forests, Tiger’s Nest is the symbol of spiritual strength, devotion and Bhutan’s rich Buddhist History.
