Plan Your Bhutan Journey

Everything you need to know before visiting Bhutan—from visa requirements and travel regulations to the best seasons to visit. We’ve gathered the essential information to help you prepare for a smooth, comfortable, and unforgettable journey through the Kingdom of the Thunder Dragon.

We’ve outlined the key information you need to prepare with confidence—so when you arrive, you can focus less on logistics and more on the experience itself.

Visa & Entry Requirements

With the exception of citizens of India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives, all international visitors require a Bhutan tourist visa. The good news is that you don’t need to apply yourself.

Once your trip is confirmed, we’ll handle the entire visa application process on your behalf. Simply provide a clear copy of your passport (valid for at least six months), your flight details, and the required traveler information. Your visa approval will be issued before your arrival, ensuring a hassle-free entry into Bhutan.

Bhutan follows a unique High Value, Low Volume Tourism Policy, designed to preserve its rich culture, pristine environment, and sustainable way of life.

International visitors are required to pay the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) as part of their travel arrangements. This contribution supports free healthcare, education, environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and the country’s commitment to sustainable tourism.

Our team will include all applicable government fees in your travel quotation, providing complete transparency before your trip.

Your flight into Bhutan offers breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayas before landing in the picturesque Paro Valley.
